IMAGE RGB Satellite Of Northwest Europe 28 January 2013

Latest RGB satellite image of NW Europe. The darker area west of Ireland at the moment shows the cold, descending air mass that is rushing in to replace the warmer, rising air mass currently over the country. It is this rapid replacement of one air mass by another that will bring very strong winds over Ireland today with Munster, Connacht, N Leinster and Ulster likely to experience the strongest gusts over the course of the afternoon.

Our advice is the stay safe but also to enjoy so far as is possible.
