(Issued 8 Dec, 2012): Valid Sunday night (9 Dec) and Monday night (10 Dec)
This is an advance warning of severe frosts on Sunday and Monday nights, with a chance of freezing fog in places.
As some roads remain wet from tomorrow's patchy rain, clearing skies and plummeting temperatures will lead to some black ice on untreated roads and footpaths. There is also the possibility of some freezing fog in places.
This extends to Monday night also, but increasing cloud from the west during Tuesday will probably mean an end to this cold spell and a return of Atlantic variability.
