WEATHER ALERT: Ice & Fog; 1800hrs Fri - 1200HRS Sat
Air and ground temperatures will fall below freezing later this evening leading to widespread icy conditions on our roads overnight and during tomorrow morning. Lows about -3 C in some inland valleys, -1 C closer to the coast and in larger towns and cities, and +3 C in some coastal areas.
Extra caution is advised as many roads have not dried out complete following recent heavy rain, which will result in black ice forming once ground temperatures fall below freezing. Pockets of fog will also form towards dawn and will be slow to clear in places Saturday morning.
Please take care if out driving later on and stay will behind any vehicles in front of you. Remember, keep slow, you'll still get there in the end.
