For the second time in a week, Beverly Hills was rattled by an earthquake.

A 3.5 earthquake was reported at 12:03 a.m. Friday. It was felt over a wide area of Southern California, including downtown L.A. and the San Fernando Valley.

Local fire departments were making checks, but there were no reports of damage or injuries.

"Firefighters from 106 Neighborhood Fire Stations joined by LAFD helicopters in performing survey of Department's 470 sq mile jurisdiction to identify any significant damage to critical infrastructure, including transportation, utilities, hospitals, schools, large places of assemblage," Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey said in a statement on Twitter.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the epicenter was one mile from Century City, two miles from West Hollywood, nine miles from Inglewood and nine miles from the Los Angeles Civic Center.

A 3.2 magnitude temblor hit Beverly Hills on Monday. The quake set off some security alarms but caused no damage.

It's unclear if the two quakes are related.

Friday's quake was originally reported as a 3.4 magnitude temblor.
